Get to Jiuzhaigou Valley from Jiuzhaigou Huanglong Airport

Jiuzhaigou Huanglong Airport, also known as the Jiuzhai Huanglong Airport, is the closest airport to Jiuzhaigou Valley. It’s just around a two-hour drive to Jiuzhaigou National Park.

Once you arrive at Jiuzhaigou Huanglong Airport, you can take a shuttle bus or a local taxi to Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area. The Jiuhuang Airport is about 88 km from Jiuzhaigou Valley and 53 km from Huanglong National Park. The taxi will take around 2 hours to take you to the valley and the cost is around CNY200. If you arrive at the Airport early, you can visit Huanglong National Park in the afternoon, which takes about 4 hours to finish, and then move on to Jiuzhaigou Valley and visit Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area on the next day.

Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou by Bus

From Chengdu, there are two transport stations with buses to Jiuzhaigou. The first is the Xinnanmen Bus Station (Chengdu Tourism Bus Center), situated at No. 57, Linjiang Road of Wuhou District. The bus leaves daily from 07:10 to 08:40. The ticket costs about CNY138 per person to Jiuzhaigou and CNY98 per person to Chuanzhusi Town for Huanglong Scenic Area

The other one is the Chadianzi Bus Station, situated at No. 289, the 5th Section of West 3rd Ring Road, Jinniu District. The bus leaves daily from 06:10 to 10:30. The ticket costs about CNY140 per person to Jiuzhaigou.

Currently, tourists can choose to take the Chengdu-Jiuzhaigou East Line or West Line to this beautiful valley within 9 to 10 hours. Compared with the Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou flight, it takes a much longer time to get to Jiuzhaigou by road but remains as the most popular way to get to Jiuzhaigou among tourists for the lower cost of tickets.
